Bhutan

Bhutan is a majestic kingdom that sweeps you beyond your imagination; a small heaven on this earth!

Topography
It resides quietly between Tibet to the north and India to the south with the central valleys that are enclosed on all sides by mountains. Bhutan, also known as the ‘Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon’ is about 47,000 sq.km with a population of around 8, 00,000.

Religion and Culture
The country has a majority of Buddhist with only a tiny percentage of Hindus, about 20%. The natives are called Dukpa who are staunch Buddhists and they share a common Tibetan heritage of language, culture and religion. Thimpu is the central city and also the capital of Bhutan; a fascinating city that reflects age old culture, religion, arts and architecture. Bhutan is highly influenced by Tibet and like the Tibetans it prefers to remain in seclusion throwing a mysterious aura. As a result, it allows a very limited and screened number of outsiders into the country with a special permit.

The country reverberates with supernatural legends, archaic monastery/ fortress, unmapped and un-named mountains and unexplored corners. Monsoon is the dominating climate which runs from June to the end of September, but the other seasons are crisp and clear. Bhutan is magical with its exceptionally rich culture, people, natural beauty and pristine surroundings.

Realize your dream with this exciting but affordable trip to Bhutan.
